Tomorrow is the big day! We leave Dulles around noon for 24 full hours of travel. (gulp)
The only thing that is really weighing heavily on my heart is the fact that I will miss Alli and Erin terribly. They are feeling it too. Am I just going to be a puddle of tears for the next two weeks? Between the sadness of missing them and the joy of getting Jia, I don't think I will have dry eyes for quite some time.
Prayers for our health are still needed. My back is slightly better after seeing my chiropractor yesterday (and becoming good friends with Tylenol 3). I hope the TSA doesn't mind the veritable pharmacy I'll have in my carry-on. Rachel's toes are on the mend. (We got her new shoes a couple sizes too big that are really helping.) Mike has a Z-pack for his bronchitis. Please pray that these things continue to heal. What a picture we are! The coughing, hobbling, limping family headed to the other side of the world!
But in the midst of these challenges, God has been so good. We are at peace and are completely trusting Him. All is grace! We are amazed by all blessings we've seen over this past week. And we are so grateful for all of our friends and our church family that have been praying for us. Thank you!!
Next update from Beijing.....

Praying for a safe, comfortable trip for your family. Praying also for little Jia's heart as she prepares to leave everything she knows to become part of your family. God will make straight the path before you.
