Cabled...

This is one of those steps in the process that I don't completely get, but I think this is the gist of it.  We have been "cabled", which means that a letter has been sent from the National Visa Center in the US to the US Consulate in China.  I believe this is where Jia's visa gets processed.  It takes about two weeks for them to process the paperwork for her visa.  At that point, our agency's in-country rep picks up our Article 5, which is a different letter that says she, in fact, does qualify for an immigrant visa.  Her actual visa will be waiting for us at the Consulate in China. (I think that's right, but don't hold me to it.)

And then, 2-3 weeks after that Article 5 is picked up, we should receive our Travel Approval.  Yay!
